Local and Live is BACK, in collaboration with Liverpool Arts Bar and hosted by Meg Shaw, to bring you a NEW platform, NEW artists, and NEW music – weekly!

Simon Howard joins us this week, with tales of his USA adventures, singing in the shower to Dua Lipa, and his latest single ‘Trojan Horse’…

MT Jones joins us this week after his long-awaited debut solo single ‘I Won’t Ever Say Goodbye’ which came out earlier this month, which he treated us to a live version of, as well as unreleased tracks ‘Piece of My Pie’, ‘Lay Down’, and his upcoming single ‘Feelin’ Lonely’.

John Witherspoon joins us this week to talk about getting into the songwriting mindset, as well as the beast that is social media, and all things local gigs.

ME and Deboe are a combination of two incredible forces, merged together to create a sound like no other. Follow us as we talk about their love for live gigs, unlikely individual styles that match together, and how they turn 90s dance tracks into a huge live sound with just two guitars, on this week’s podcast.

FLYNT are a Cumbria/Liverpool based pop-infused band, with their new single ‘Digging’ coming right around the corner. Listen in as they chat about their music, gigs, future plans… as well as their brilliant live session they treated us to.

Drawing inspiration from rainy days, jukebox oddities, Western 21st Century despair and Souse-Pop tradition, Bright Town are with us for episode 12 of Local and Live X Liverpool Arts Bar. Not only did they treat us with a live version of their latest single ‘Something To…’ (under Modern Sky Records), but they also gave us two tunes ‘Smother’ and ‘Bottom’, before sitting down to have a chat with us.

Bringing you sounds straight from Gambia, Nazeem is this week’s artist feature. Spreading gratitude, hope and appreciation throughout his music, Nazeem aims to spread his music far and wide, after making himself well-known to the Liverpool scene for years now.

Perfect for these rainy autumn days, Rossa Murray & the blowin’ winds serenaded us this week with their tunes, and caught us up with all their new releases, upcoming gigs and everything else in-between.

This week we had a band which you need to get your ears wrapped around, if you haven’t already. More in Luv are a high-energy band who we’ve had the pleasure of seeing a few times live (supporting Tilly Louise and Bandit to name a few), so needed to get them on-board the Local and Live train.

Hushtones are our guests this week – who have been a huge part of the North West music scene for years now. After the release of their album ‘Greetings from the Other Side’ last year, and follow up singles ‘Whiskey and Winter’ and ‘Stranger’, we thought we’d have a catch up with them on what they are upto at the minute, and of course throw in a live session with them as well.

Simon Dale kicks off the episode with the live session of his gorgeous new track ‘Rewind’. This magically intimate tune is yet to be released, but after only hearing it once, it was already stuck in my head.

Episode 6 has our co-host Amber Prothero chatting all things gigs, music videos and collaborations.

Episode 5 is here already: with co-host Micayl (featuring their friend James!) chatting about how they build their songs, the LIMF Academy and travelling the world with a caterpillar!

It’s time for episode 4: with co-hosts Motel Sundown chatting about their debut album, their live session tracks and their plans to gig in amphitheatres in Italy dressed as gladiators!

Join us in our third episode alongside co-host Tilly Louise in the first section, as well as the new releases and all things local music scene talk in the last half an hour. “Fiery and sweet”, the “glorious Tilly Louise” has noisy, hook centric alternative pop shimmer. Listen in as we chat about the tour, her record label The Beautiful People Club, and much more! And that’s not all… catch the latest from Micayl and Dee Rae as we explore the latest releases in the music scene.

Join us in our second episode alongside co-host KOF in the first half an hour, as well as the new releases and all things local music scene talk in the last half an hour. KOF has been in the local scene for years, and after recently making a return to releasing tracks, he is back with more singles, more collaborations and more projects! Listen in as we discuss his gig stories, his dream collaborations, and talk about his live session tracks. And that’s not all… catch the latest from Spilt Milke Society and Teal as we explore the latest releases in the music scene

Join us in our first episode where we have the incredible Martha Goddard co-hosting in the first hour, as well as the new releases and all things local music scene talk in the last half an hour. Martha Goddard has recently released her latest single ‘Fighter’, after her debut single ‘Mirror Vision’ earlier this year. Listen as we discuss both of these tracks, as well as her Stranger Things addiction, challenging the Arts Bar staff to a tennis match, and her experience at Glastonbury! And that’s not all… catch the latest from Euan Blackman, Evie Moran, Motel Sundown, Amber Prothero and Waffle as we explore the latest releases in the music scene.
